1st Verse:

The robin and the rowan tree;
the stag upon the hill,
their scarlet blazes gallantly
against white winters chill.

The fox with his fiery tail
and holly berries bright
their pretty colour will prevail
over bleak winter night.

Chorus:

So light up a blazing lantern;
sing out a song of good cheer
fly the colours of the Autumn
till the Springtime reappears.

And greet all the people you meet
with a grin from ear to ear,
fly the colours of the Autumn
and the Spring will soon be here.

2nd Verse:

Though the blazing leaves of autumn
leave behind white cinder snow,
all the seeds that they have scattered,
into green trees, soon shall grow.

And the rainbow of the Spring time,
like a flag will be unfurled
signalling the victory of life
over the whole wide world

fly the colours of the Autumn and the Spring will soon be here.... promise? Another good one. I think I preferred Dungeons ... but this reminded me of Christmas and could almost make a Christmas song.

Thank you, Sooz. I was trying to write an Autumn Carol. There aren't enough songs to celebrate the Autumn, in my opinion. Though I'm not a Christian, I was educated at both Catholic and Protestant schools and alot of the cultural things like Hymns and Carols have rubbed off on me. Glad you enjoyed it.
