1.
The dainty lady Daffodils
all dressed in gowns of golden frills,
as spritely Spring time breezes blow,
are gaily dancing to and fro.
2.
The butterflies all flutter up
to dance with lady buttercups
and bees and daisies do-si-do
as round the garden they all go.
Chorus:
Come and join the dance of Spring;
the Earth is queen, the Sun is king;
their orchestra the birds that sing;
come and join the dance of spring.
3.
The happy rabbits all come out
to hop and skip and jump about;
their dancing drums a rhythmic beat
pounding the ground with great big feet.
4.
The little birds dance wing in wing
to celebrate the joyous Spring;
the bird boys bow to bright bird girls
then on tree branches prance and whirl.
Chorus:
Come and join the dance of Spring;
the Earth is queen, the Sun is king;
their orchestra the birds that sing;
come and join the dance of spring.
