Intolerant winter,
when all is black or white
is starting to disinte-
grate and vanish out of sight.
Now all the many colours
of the spectrum get to shine
and the world, that was a duller place,
begins to look divine.
Blue skinned bluebells and red skinned roses
and proudly yellow daffodils, everywhere, can be seen;
all playing a pretty part in Nature’s posy;
living cosily together in their fields of green.
Gone are the winds that howl and bite
like hateful, hurtful words;
now only tunes, designed to delight,
are sung by the many different birds.
And it, to me, is clear to see;
as clear as springtime rainbows shining bright;
that nature’s colours live in harmony
and, oh, they’re a wonderful sight.
