Old Don Quixote
was right after all.
The windmills were giants;
giants, but still small.
Old Don Quixote
was right after all.
The windmills were giants;
giants, but still small.
2.
For their children would dwarf them
clutch the world in their sails
and with no one to fight them
the mills would prevail.
For their children would dwarf them
clutch the world in their sails
and with no one to fight them
the mills would prevail.
Chorus:
And Sancho Panza;
what happened to you?
What did those windmills turning around
turn you into?
And Sancho Panza;
what happened to you?
What did those windmills turning around
turn you into?
3.
The mills used their enchantment
to bewitch peoples minds
though it looked just like money
still it made people blind.
The mills used their enchantment
to bewitch peoples minds
though it looked just like money
still it made people blind.
4.
And their millstones whirled faster
than the world could restore
now we need Don Quixote
more than ever before.
And their millstones whirled faster
than the world could restore
now we need Don Quixote
more than ever before.
Chorus:
And Dulcinea;
what happened to you?
What did those windmills turning around
turn you into?
And Dulcinea;
what happened to you?
What did those windmills turning around
turn you into?

A lovely sense of words blowing about us here and a great sentiment too.

Interesting take on the Don's windmills and the comparison
with wind turbines. I kind of think of them as saviours rather than monsters.
I believe by the end of Don Quixote's journeys he accepted he was wrong about the windmills

Ahh I get it now, thanks
Windmills akin to the dark satanic mills I guess.
I really like reading Cervantes but it is hard work I am about half way through Quixote and I've had the book for five years. It is funny though.
