The Easter Bunny

On distant Easter Island
where it is so warm and sunny,
there lives a funny, furry creature
called the Easter Bunny.

His ears are far too tall
and he has long, gangly legs,
a tail like a fluffy ball
and he loves delivering eggs.

He gets them from the Easter tree.
Politely, he will ask it,
“May I have some Easter Eggs, please?”
and she drops them in his basket.

Then with a great big smile and
a bright twinkle in his eye,
leaving his happy island
he flaps his floppy ears and flies.

He flies around the whole wide world
bringing eggs to girls and boys
because the Easter Bunny
just loves spreading lots of joy.
