Energized

As wind turns
the wind turbine
round;
as solar panels fill with sun;
and the hydroelectric dam
with water, roars
so, with out-
pouring beauty, green
Nature gives
power to my soul.

 

The lightning of a thunderstorm
exhilirates with
quickening
flash;
the thunder is a pounding drum
whose rhythm makes my spirit stir.

 

The trees whose branches blithely dance
make a toy kite out of my heart;
sun bursting from behind a cloud,
a gold baloon.

 

Even the
music box of stars
winds up
a clockwork joy inside.

 

And all the birds
that whistle and soar
light up lifes crackling fuse.

 

Oh go out,
children,
please.
Get up!  Go out
and into Nature, now
and like the grass
that excitably whispers;
that's shivering in the breeze of Spring,
your soul
too
will be
energized.
