While the rich man relaxes,
the poor man pays his taxes;
the evil Tory axe is
swinging down upon his head.

the poor man just gets stitched up.
Just like a sacrificial
Lamb, to the slaughter he’s lead.

I worked for a local Welfare Rights Group before it folded due to the absence of funding from NCC or our local authority. I'm saddened that the work of our working class ancestors has been smashed and that the poor/disabled/elderly have to fight when there is no fight left in them. I grew up in poverty and so still recall how it feels to be part of the under-class an excluded. Whilst man turns on man then nothing will change but I am furious with the world I now see.
