1st Verse:
As a child, I took this world for granted;
couldn’t see that it was so enchanted
but now every little bird and plant, it
seems extra-ordinary to me.
2nd Verse:
Every bird and bloom fills me with pleasure;
every twinkling star is like a treasure;
this whole world gives me joy beyond measure.
It's extra-ordinary to me.
Chorus:
I thought that distant grass was greener;
that distant streets were paved with gold.
I’d looked at life but never seen her
but she’s a wonder to behold.
All my life I was so myopic;
dreaming of tropical locales
but life can be kaleidoscopic,
there’s so much in life; too much for me to tell.
3rd Verse:
Spent my days dreaming and nights stargazing.
I thought that joy was a far-away thing
but now I know life can be amazing.
It's extra-ordinary to me.
4th Verse:
There’s so much in life I’d been ignoring;
now my days are never dull or boring.
The worlds ever new and needs exploring.
It’s extra-ordinary to me.
Chorus:
I thought that distant grass was greener;
that distant streets were paved with gold.
I’d looked at life but never seen her
but she’s a wonder to behold.
All my life I was so myopic;
dreaming of tropical locales
but life can be kaleidoscopic,
there’s so much in life; too much for me to tell.
