There once was a wicked and wily fox
who loved to eat sweet chocolate a lot;
so much, he could even eat a whole box,
and that mean fox hatched a cunning plot.
“It is Easter day”, he thought, “Yum! Yum!
That is when the Easter Bunny comes,
bringing his great, big basket of sweet
chocolate eggs for children to eat”.
“I shall steal his basket”, thought the fox,
“And eat up all those egg shaped choc’s.
By the road side, I shall lie in wait
to pounce and pinch all his chocolates”.
But that foul fox's plan was overheard
by a small bird on a branch overhead,
“Oh, what a wicked old fox!”, thought the bird,
“His truly awful plan must be thwarted!”.
So the bird flew off to Easter island,
‘cause that is where the Easter Bunny lives,
to warn him about the mean fox's plans
and save Easter and all the joy it gives.
“Thanks, Mr Bird”, the Easter Bunny said,
“I’ll swtch my Easter Eggs for rocks instead,
and paint them bright colours to fool the fox.
That wicked fox will never guess they’re rocks”.
Oh, foolish fox! What a mistake to make!
For now he has a terrible toothache.
He stole the Easter Bunny’s eggs alright
but got quite a shock when he took a bite.
