There is a bird that glows within the night.
I found one of its feathers burning bright;
as great as any treasure ever found;
a phoenix feather lying on the ground
but then,
sadly,
I let that feather go
and, suddenly, a fearsome wind did blow;
it blew that feather far off out of reach.
That loss, a lesson, to my heart, did teach
so now, tightly, I clasp our every kiss;
each bright plume on the firebird of love
that lights my solemn heart with blazing bliss
lest it blow off; join other stars above.
