Idea for perpetual motion toy or, alternatively, idea for a magnetic powered lever (also, perhaps, a resistance powered tool) Also: Art Ideas

Toy
1.A lever has a magnet at both ends, both magnets have their positive poles facing forwards and opposite both of those magnets are magnets with their positive poles facing forwards.
2. Each time the magnet at one end is repelled it tips the lever (like a see-saw) so that the magnet at other end is pushed forward and then that magnet is, in turn, repelled and tips the lever the other way so that the magnet at the other end is pushed forwards.
Or alternatively;
A Magnetic powered lever (and, perhaps, a resistance powered tool).
- Magnets, either by attraction or repulsion, pull/push on one end of the lever and the lever does the rest. I can see this as a useful bottle opener.
- Another idea I had was that of a resistance powered tool; for example say that a robot was trying to push a rock and the act of pushing the rock generated electricity to power the robot that would allow it to keep pushing the rock.

Imaginings about Art and Media and other things -
Apologies if any of these are old ideas (I have no intention to plagiarize anyone’s idea).
Contemporary Art Idea 1: – Box Portrait-
- Painted on the front face of a box is a view of a person from the front.
- Painted on the left side, the view of them from the left.
- Painted on the right side, the view from the right.
- Painted on the top, the view of them from above.
- And painted on the back face, the view of them from behind.
- One could also use this in a magic show to give the illusion that an assistant is in box when, really, every side of the box is just a flat tv screen showing her from a different angle.
Contemporary Art Idea 2: - Hidden drawer pictures-
A hidden drawer picture is a picture of a room containing a chest of drawers or a cupboard; a door or window which actually opens and, not only that, opens to reveal a secret compartment for hiding things.
For example, say it was a portrait of a person sitting at their writing desk. Then one of the drawers in their writing desk might pull out like a real drawer so that you can hide secret papers in it.
Contemporary Art Idea 3: Secret (or invisible) Art –
This is underground, protest art that is not meant for everyone to see; it is invisible paintings; encoded literature and secret underground galleries.
Some Sci-Fi art ideas that I’m sure will become reality:
Art Idea – Memory Art–
Memory art is art made from memory materials that allow art objects to make themselves in front of a spectator, for example something woven out of memory wire will, when heat is applied, reweave itself from an unravelled state in front of the spectator or a sculpture made of memory metal will be crushed and then reform itself in front of the spectator.
Observer effected art (Smart Art) –
A bit like quantum particles, this kind of art is affected by the spectator; it has motion sensors so it can follow the movements of the spectator and even mirror their movements. It can sense their mood and change colour to reflect it or it may be an automaton sculpture that is powered by them.
Levitating rotating Sculpture-
This is either a 3-D hologram that only appears to be levitating or a mag-lev sculpture . This kind of sculpture has the advantage of being able to rotate either vertically or horizontally. If it’s a hologram it can also be a morphing sculpture.
Flat Holo-art – Flat holo-art is holographic art that pretends to be traditional 2-D dimensional art; pretends to be a painting or drawing or photograph but is in fact a hologram and can move; become deep 3-Dimensionally or explode outwards 3-dimensionally.
Moving Fashion – Moving fashion is clothing that has moving pictures on it; animation or changing patterns. Eventually clothing and even tattoos will become like TV screens and a person will be able to make their jacket change colour as easily as pressing a remote control. When this happens soldiers will also have instant camouflage that can change to suit their environment making them virtually invisible (this is already being experimented with).
Pirate Reality – One day Hackers will be able to hack into mainstream news networks and broadcast fake computer generated news broadcasts that look real; thus creating “Orson Welles War of The Worlds” type panic. People will have to get used to the idea of not knowing what is true or false.
Intelligent Art –
There is already, I’m sure, moving robotic sculpture but this is bound to become more and more intelligent and realistic to the point that we will not know the difference between a sculpture and a human being. One joke that artists are bound to try is to have robot visitors to the art gallery that look just like tourists. They may also have intelligent portraits that speak and behave as if they are alive and sentient art that is aware of being looked at. There may also be a merging of dance and sculpture as robots are created that can dance as well as prima ballerinas.
You are the actor – In the future, most likely the audience will be characters in movies; movies will be full virtual reality role-playing games in which ordinary people get to pick whether they want to be leading man or woman and whether they want to be in a romantic, action, fantasy or comedy story.
The dark-side of virtual reality- I think the time will come when, sadly, the military or state use
virtual reality to ‘extract’ information and, by that, I mean putting political prisoners in virtual
torture chambers; like Orwell’s room 101 but with virtual nightmares. Not a pleasant thing to say but I’m sure this is going to happen.
The ‘End’ of Travel – People will travel less; they’ll work in virtual offices with avatar work
colleagues; they’ll go to virtual clubs; rock concerts and sporting events. They’ll even have virtual quality time where friends and family members sit down together but only in cyberspace. More and more companies will sell us dreams instead of real things.
The virtual documentary-
The virtual documentary will allow you to step into someone else’s shoes and see the world through their eyes, whether it be the life of a starving person in another country or being in a war-torn country or being an animal. This is probably one of the most positive uses of virtual reality.
Negative Psychological Effects of Virtual Reality-
There are bound to be new psychological side effects of spending long periods in virtual reality; new forms of psychosis will probably emerge from people unsure of whether they are in the real world or not.
Virtual Museums – Another light note is that people would be able to create their own virtual ‘fan’ spaces, the way that they can now create websites and these will be, I imagine, just like little
Museums.
Electric Drugs – Another though that I’ve just had is that a lot of chemical mood altering drugs will be replaced by electrical stimulation of the brain. If you can stimulate the brains pleasure centres or activate its pain-killing centres you probably won’t need chemicals to get ‘high’ anymore and may be able to just switch on an electric paracetamol although, no doubt, this type of drug is bound to be as addictive as the chemical kind. In this way, through electrical brain stimulation, virtual pornography would also be made more ‘exciting’ and Virtual church services a more ‘euphoric’ religious
experience. Unfortunately however, as I’ve already said, the military and some tyrannical state
organizations may use devices which stimulate the brain to create false pain sensation. Again, this is a horrible thought and, hopefully there would be strong public opposition to it. I also imagine that ‘manchurian candidate’ style mind control experiments will become old hat and be replaced by ‘Brain control’. (Oh and I suppose one could create brain art simply by stimulating those parts of the brain which create auditory and visual hallucinations).
Cloud sculpting – The time is bound to come also when artists attempt to manipulate natural things to create art (for example Cloud Sculpting). I think such artists would have to take great care to
respect nature however.
Return to nature –
With all this terrible virtual reality (and virtual naturality) stuff in our future I would probably, If I live to see any of it, be one of those ‘Back to life, back to reality’ people who prefer to be one with the true mother nature than be wired up to an experience machine but I’m not a luddite because I
believe that you can’t fight the unscrupulous people who wield advanced technology unless you understand it and have it on your side.
