An Incredible Journey (IP)

I am about to make an incredible journey, Ladies and Gentlemen.
It has occurred to me that if I create a fictionalized version of myself then I exist both in reality and fiction and that, if it is possible for me to become a fictional character then perhaps, just perhaps, it is possible for a fictional character to become a real person.
That is why I am entering the forest of Red Riding Hood.
"Wow! This is really amazing. A small step for a real man; a giant leap for reality kind", I say, looking around and seeing what looks like a real life forest with tall rustling evergreens and twittering birds.
But then I see, coming through the forest what looks like an old lady in a frilly dress and bonnet.
"Hello, old lady. Who are you", I ask.
"Oh I?", says the old lady, "I'm the grandmother of Little Red Riding Hood. My name is Edith actually".
"Oh thats great Edith", I ask, "And have you seen Little Red Riding Hood anywhere?".
"No. No", says the grandmother, "I was expecting her to visit but she hasn't arrived yet".
But then, suddenly, I notice something kind of odd about Red Riding Hoods grandmother.
"Why, Edith", I say, "I don't mean to be rude but you have very big eyes".
"Oh all the better for seeing you with, my dear", says Edith.
"Hmm?", I think, "That sounds familiar. I wonder where I've heard that before".
But then I notice something else quite strange about the grandmother.
"Oh, Edith", I say, "Please don't take this the wrong way but you have one very large nose".
"All the better for smelling you with, my dear", says the grandmother.
"Hmm?", I think, "I'm sure I've heard that somewhere before and it's pretty creepy the way the grandmother keeps calling me 'my dear'".
But then I notice the size of the grandmothers teeth; these enormous fangs dripping with drool, really quite peculiar for an old lady and suddenly it clicks.
"You're not Red Riding Hoods grandmother", I say, "You've sharp enormous teeth".
The grandmother, ripping off her frilly bonnet and revealing a furry, wolf head starts to laugh wickedly.
"Ha! Ha!", says the wolf, "All the better for eating...".
'Whack!", an axe blade comes down upon the wolfs head.
I turn and look at who is holding the axe and I see a man in old fashioned clothing with a pointed beard.
"Who are you?", I ask.
"I'm the woodcutter", he says, "Sorry I'm late. My names Arthur".
"Oh right", I say, "Well thanks for saving me from that wolf".
"I wasn't saving you", he says, "I was saving little Red Riding Hood and her grandmother".
I look back over at the wolf and I see that he's been split completely in two like a big hairy, wolf shaped coconut and, inside, an old lady and a little girl wearing a red hood are still alive.
"Thats amazing", I say to the woodcutter, "Where I come from that never happens".
But then, suddenly, I feel a tap upon my shoulder and turning round, I see another man; a man dressed like a king but with a hunched back.
"Who are you?", I ask.
"Richard III", he says.
"Richard III?", I ask, "What are you doing in Red Riding Hood?"
"I'm a character from historical fiction", he says, "We are people who have existed both in the real world and the fictional world. That gives us the power to move between the two worlds and we are the ones who guard the line between reality and fantasy".
"Oh", I say, "Well you don't have to guard against me. I'm just an explorer".
"I'm afraid that you have broken the fourth wall", says Richard III, drawing a sharp sword from his scabbard, "And that is a crime punishable by death".
"Oh no!", I think.
Fortunately then I remember that I've brought my pen into the story with me and my notepad, I can write my way out of this.
I write that a rabbit hole opens in the ground just like the one in "Alices Adventures in Wonderland" and Richard III falls down into it.
"Phew!", I think, stepping back into the real world, "That was close".
Thank goodness it appears that the pen really is mightier than the sword.
Well, I didn't manage to bring a fictional character into the real world but...
Wait a minute? I see something, through a mist, a face.
Its you reading this story.
Hmm? Maybe I can break through into your reality.
Suddenly, the screen tears open and Well-Wisher comes bursting through.
