It was one snowy December when little Suzy Sanderson, a 5 year old girl with long hair of gold and eyes of blue, put down in her letter to Santa that she would like some Magic Pink Pyjamas.
"Pyjamas that are like a genie that grants all my wishes and will take me on lots of amazing adventures".
And when Christmas day came, to Suzys amazement and surprise, one of her presents was a set of Pink pyjamas with a face on the front.
"These must be the pyjamas I asked Santa for", she thought and she ran around her house happily, shouting to her mum and dad, "Look at what Santa brought me. The Magic Pink Pyjamas I asked for".
And Suzy was so excited that she couldn't wait till Bedtime to put her Pyjamas on and ran right up to her bedroom to change into them.
Unfortunately, when she put them on nothing happened; no magic and no adventures like she'd hoped.
"Maybe the pyjamas aren't magic after all", she thought, sadly.
But then, Suzy noticed a little label sticking out of the sleeve of the pyjamas and, looking at the label, she saw that it said,
"Say the magic word, 'Pyjamarama'".
And when she did, suddenly the pyjamas gave off a bright pink flash of light and then, looking up at her, the face on the front of her Pyjamas said,
"Hello Suzy, my name is P.J. Would you like to go on an adventure?".
"Wow!", said Suzy jumping up and down excitedly, "Yes, please".
Then suddenly, the window of her bedroom slid upwards and, to Suzy's amazement, she rose up into the air, then she went whizzing out through the open window as fast as a rocket and, before she knew it, Suzy had risen up to and was flying through the sky.
"Where would you like to have an adventure?", asked P.J.
"Um", thought Suzy, rubbing her chin in thought as she flew past a large white cloud, "I think I'd like to go and see Santa Clause to thank him for my Christmas present".
"Okay", said the Pyjamas, "North Pole, here we come".
Then, fast as a speeding jetplane, Suzy zoomed off across the sky until, suddenly, below her she saw a big red and white building with a large S on the top of it.
"Thats Santas workshop", said the Pyjamas, "And that big S on the roof is where he normally lands his flying sleigh".
But then, suddenly, the Pyjamas started to take her down towards the roof of the workshop and she landed right ontop of the big 'S'.
The moment she did, however, to Suzy's surprise, a door opened in the roof of Santas workshop and up out of it came two very mean looking elves dressed in black with guns.
"Who are you?", asked Suzy, "And where's Santa".
"We're evil elves", said the elves, "And we've taken Santa hostage so that we could steal his sleigh".
But then the evil elves took Suzy hostage and led her down through the door in the roof into Santas workshop and along a red and white corridoor towards a room marked, "Store Room" and then, opening the door they led her inside where she saw Santa Clause and lots of elves dressed in green but they were all tied up with Christmas Tinsel.
Then one of the evil elves tied Suzy's hands with Tinsel before, going out, the elves locked the door of the room.
"Who are you young lady?", asked Santa, seeing Suzy.
"I'm Suzy Sanderson", said Suzy, "You brought me a pair of Magic Pink Pyjamas for Christmas".
"Oh yes, I remember", said Santa, "And I see that you're wearing them".
"Yes they're how I got here", said Suzy, "I flew through the air".
"Hmm?", said Santa, deep in thought, "You might be just the person we need".
Then Santa told Suzy about the evil elves, that they worked for his enemy the Grumpus; a creature who hated Christmas and would do anything to stop it.
"He's stolen my sleigh so that he can steal all the Christmas presents I delivered and ruin Christmas for all the children", said Santa, "But you can use the power of your Pink Pyjamas to stop him".
"Okay", said Suzy, happy to help Santa, "What do I do?".
"Well", said Santa, "First you can untie us so that we can deal with the evil elves".
So Suzy asked her magical pink pyjamas to free her, Santa and all his elves and, immediately, the tinsel that they were tied up with vanished.
Then Santa gave Suzy a wreath of golden holly.
"This is a magic holly wreathe", he said, "Its the only thing that can defeat the Grumpus but you have to put it round his neck. When you do that, the Grumpus will have to do what you say".
"Okay", said Suzy, taking hold of the holly wreathe, "I'll do my best".
And then, looking down at the face on the front of her Pyjamas, she said,
"P.J. Take me to where the Grumpus is".
Then, suddenly, there was a bright pink flash of light from the magic Pyjamas and the next thing Suzy knew she was sitting in the back of Santas sleigh and the Grumpus, a furry, horned monster, was driving it.
"Where did you come from?", said the Grumpus, turning round and seeing Suzy, "And what are you doing in my Sleigh?".
"Santa Clause sent me", said Suzy, "To get back the sleigh you stole from him".
"Oh he did, did he?", said the Grumpus, "We'll I'll see about that".
And, tugging upon the reigns of the flying sleigh that controlled the magic reindeer who pulled it, the Grumpus made the flying sleigh turn upside down so that Suzy fell out of it.
Fortunately, Suzy managed to keep hold of the magic holly wreathe; unfortunately she was falling very fast through the air and there were lots of sharp jagged mountains below.
"Help!", she called out to her Pyjamas, "Help! P.J.".
"Don't worry", said her Pyjamas, "I'll save you".
And then, suddenly, out of the top of her pyjamas came a big pink parachute that slowed down her fall through the air.
"Thanks, P.J.", she said, "Now take me back up so I can put this holly wreathe over the Grumpus's head".
Then, obeying her command, the magic pyjamas flew her back up towards the flying sleigh and then started to hover just above the Grumpus and, taking the holly wreathe in both hands, Suzy took aim and prepared to drop it over the monsters horned head.
But then, looking up, the Grumpus saw her hovering over him and so tugging upon the reigns of the flying sleigh he made the sleigh move from side to side.
"Ha!", he shouted to her, "Try throwing that wreathe over me now".
"What am I going to do?", Suzy said to her pyjamas, "I can't put this holly wreathe over the Grumpus's head if he won't hold still".
Just then, however, Suzy had an idea.
"P.J.", she asked, "Can you speak reindeer?".
"I can speak a over a trillion different languages including Chinese, Ancient Egyptian and Goldfish", said her Pyjamas.
"Well then", she said, "Speak to Santas reindeer and tell them that they have to hold still".
"Alright", said her Pyjamas and then, shouting to the reindeers they said, "Moopo- moopo; wikki-wikki; noo-noo".
Then, all of a sudden, the reindeers and the sleigh they were pulling ground to a halt.
"What?", the Grumpus asked the reindeer , bewildered, "Why have you stopped?"
But then, before the monster could find an answer, suddenly, Suzy, hovering above him, dropped the magic holly weathe right over his head.
"Gahh!", he growled, angrilly.
But, however angry he was, there was nothing he could do because, with the holly wreathe around his neck, the Grumpus had to obey Suzy and so then Suzy ordered the Grumpus to take the flying sleigh and her back to Santa Clause.
Then, when the flying sleigh was safely back in Santas hands, he thanked Suzy for all she had done.
"You've saved Christmas, Suzy", he said, "For all the children of the world".
"Well I couldn't have done it without my magic pink pyjamas", said Suzy.
But then Suzy spent the rest of the day with Santa in his workshop; she got to meet all the elves and feed magic carrots to all the reindeers and then she had a Christmas feast cooked by Mrs Clause, Santas wife including her speciality, chocolate christmas pudding and Suzy thought it was one of the happiest Christmas Days she had ever had.
