Let it be done

Real tragedies can never be rewritten;
we cannot unexplode the bomb;
we cannot bring back children from their graves
but we can save the children of the future;
we can make a world where love is stronger than hate;
we can knock down the idols of slaughter and raise up pillars of love and peace;
we can stand united with our family of all faiths and colours
so that the lives of every peaceloving person, good and kind, can be safe
and all our children can grow up knowing only love and joy.
That we can do
so let us do that.
