Say that, hypothetically, you gave an intelligent robot this command,
"You must not die (stop functioning)".
How could the intelligent robot obey that command without struggling to survive like a living organism?
Objection: Hey, but human beings fight to survive because they understand the value of life? Perhaps, but do newborn babies or primitive organic life forms like flies and beetles? Don't they struggle to survive because they have "You must not die" programmed into them so that they instinctively fight to survive?
Conclusion: Perhaps all you need to do to make a robot "Alive" is give it that "You must not die" command.
