- Players lay out 36 tiles (numbered 1 to 36) in a square (6 x6). The tiles must be touching and be in numerical order. (For design purposes all tiles should have a picture of a lotus blossom upon them).
- Players each have a meditating Buddha playing piece. One has a white Buddha, the other has a black Buddha.
- They begin by placing their Buddha pieces on any of the tiles.
- Removal rule: Each time a player moves their piece they must also remove one of the tiles from the square and put it to one side.
- Moving rule: Players can only move their piece 1 tile at a time. A piece cannot jump over a gap between tiles.
- How to win: If a piece is stuck on a tile with no other tiles around it to move to, it cannot move, if a player cannot move they lose and their opponent wins.
- So the aim of the game?: The aim of the game is to strategically remove tiles so that your opponent is cut off whilst strategically moving your piece so that you avoid being cut off.
