Love, unbelievable

Those who hear me tell about my love must think I lie

for it’s hard to believe men may reach heaven and not die ;

hard to believe that such bright planes of ecstasy exist

for those who, by your lips, sweet heavens gates, have not been kissed

but I, within this heart, have sailed and seen love’s holy fire;

I’ve stood upon the pinnacles of mountains of pure bliss;
