There is an island far away; far across the golden sea of dreaming called Lullabyland.
But only dreamy eyed children ever reach this magical place.
If you’d like to reach it; well then, first you have to lie back; close both your eyes and imagine that you are lying on the warm golden sand of that island and you hear the sound of the waves rushing onto the shore and the sound of seagulls overhead.
And looking up you see a bright blue sky above you and big white fluffy clouds slowly drifting past and there’s a warm golden sun in the sky.
And the sun has two eyes and a nose and a big smiling mouth and is saying, “Welcome to dream island”.
And the clouds above are all kinds of funny shapes; one looks like an elephant with big ears and a long trunk and another looks like a panda bear and another looks like a white rabbit with long ears and they are all smiling and waving to you as they go floating, slowly by.
Now on the dream island you get up from where you’re lying on the sand because you want to see what else is on the island.
And, in front of you, because you’re standing on the shore, there’s the big blue ocean and little sailing ships of blue and red and yellow are sailing by and the people in the boats are waving hello.
But then you look down and you see a little monkey with his arms full of bright yellow bananas walking by and following behind him, really slowly, is a turtle carrying a pineapple balanced on his shell.
They’re going to a party on the island for all the animals and you’re invited to the party as well.
Would you like to go to the party?
Well, follow the turtle and the monkey because they know where the party is.
You follow them along the beach and up ahead you can see a big crowd of animals having a party.
Some of them are even wearing party hats on their heads.
And there’s a blue hippopotamus and a yellow giraffe with a long neck and a blue elephant and they’re all smiling because they’re having so much fun at the party.
“Hi”, says the Hippopotamus, “Welcome to the party!”.
And the hippopotamus is really happy because it’s his birthday and he’s eating a really big piece of birthday cake and the elephant is drinking fizzy drink from a big cup with its trunk only the bubbles tickle its trunk.
The monkeys want to put some music on because monkeys love to dance.
And now everyone is dancing; even the hippopotamus and the elephant.
Oh but now the fairy of Lullabyland has arrived at the party to hand out wishes to everyone.
She wants to know if you would like to float in the air; fly just like a bird.
Would you like to do that?
She taps you with her magic wand and, looking down, you see your feet rise off of the ground because you can fly now.
You see a little brightly coloured bird flapping its wings beside you.
“Would you like to fly and see the rest of Lullabyland?”, he’s asking.
Well then, follow the bird because its soaring up into the air and flying over Lullabyland. It’s your magical island where you can have any adventure that you want.
