One Christmas Eve,
would you believe,
a magic snowflake fell.
It tumbled down
onto the ground
and worked a magic spell.
A beggar boy
who had no toys
and no bed but the street.
Sat shivering,
when, shimmering,
it landed at his feet.
Out of thin air,
there then appeared
a fairy dressed in white.
“I’ll grant you three
wishes”, said she,
“upon this Christmas night”.
The little boy
then beamed with joy
and said, “I have but one”.
“A family
who’ll care for me
and love me as a son”.
Now, hearing this,
the fairy kissed
the boy upon his head.
And, suddenly,
he found that he
was tucked up warm in bed.
A mother and
a father, hand
in hand, stood by his side.
“Oh what a very,
merry, merry
Christmas”, the boy cried.
