The Majesty of Love

There are moments of majesty;

like witnessing a birth

when, for a brief moment, we see

a heaven on the Earth.

Moments when men are truly good

or artists reach new heights

when they possess an angelhood

and glow with some great light.

Or when an Eagle soars with grace

or, gazing at the stars,

our soul hears the music of space

and knows how blessed we are.

And perhaps chief among those things

which lift man’s soul above;

make bells of heaven seem to ring,

is the majesty of love.
