My Love Is Rising Up

1.
A rumbling drum
is deep inside;
I hear it roll
like thunder.
Love like the crash-
ing waves of tide
is rising up
from under.
Chorus:
My love is rising up
like a wave out of my heart;
hold me tight; hold me together
or it might tear me apart.
My love is rising up;
something too big to control;
need your love, now and forever;
feel it rising in my soul.
2.
The passion
that I feel for you
is like a kind
of power.
Out of a
single kiss it grew
but now it’s like
a tower.
Chorus:
My love is rising up
like a wave out of my heart;
hold me tight; hold me together
or it might tear me apart.
My love is rising up;
something too big to control;
need your love, now and forever;
feel it rising in my soul.

There's lots of swelling
There's lots of swelling passion in this love poem that sort of reminded me of bread dough responding to being kneaded and moulded - think it's all that 'rising up' from under going on. Just wondering, do you need the word 'up', as something rising is generally heading in that direction anyway. The title made me smile.
