The Naughty Little Girl

A little girl called Lucy Lee
once hid behind her Christmas tree
to wait and see if Santa would appear.

 

But down the chimney, came instead
a beast with horns upon his head
and Lucy Lee started to shake with fear.

 

"I am the Krampus", the beast cried,
"And wherever naughty girls hide,
I sniff them out and put them in my sack".

 

Then round the room he chased the child
howling and growling, fierce and wild
until he caught her in long claws of black.

 

"Oh help me please", yelled Lucy Lee
as the cruel Krampus grinned with glee
and then pulled his big sack over her head.

 

But, suddenly, then she awoke
and through her window sunlight broke.
'Twas Christmas morning and she lay in bed.

 

"It was a dream", she, sighing, said
then happily she leapt from bed
and ran downstairs to look beneath her tree.

 

And there three Christmas gifts she spied
and on each one a tag was tied
that said, "From Santa Clause to Lucy Lee".
