A poor man looks at the stars

Who owns the stars, I wonder?
Are they private property?
May my weary eyes still wander
round them aimlessly and free?

Somehow, the Earth got given
to the rich men, kings and Tsars
but there’s too much of Heaven
for them to own all of the stars.
