Possible Global Warming Solution -Carbon Removal

Remove the carbon from fossil fuels before you burn them so that no CO2 can be produced. Carbon is not combustible and so getting rid of the carbon will not effect the combustibility of the fuel.

To be honest, though, I'm not a chemist so I'm not sure how the carbon would be removed.
