Once Princess Sophie of 14 Greendale Avenue, a 5 year old girl, married Prince Teddington, her Teddy Bear.
She announced her decision to marry the Prince to all of the fairies who lived in the flower pot at the bottom of her garden and, fast as the flick of a switch, they flew off to all the corners of the land to spread the good news.
Not everyone was happy though because, Princess Sophie being the most beautiful Princess in all the world, there were several Princes who wanted to marry her.
Prince Stellar the Prince of the Stars, when he heard of her decision, cancelled all his meetings and put the important business of running the galaxy on hold and he flew down out of his palace in the sky in his comet drawn coach with gifts of bright star diamonds for the Princess but she just turned her nose up at them.
"No I don't want diamonds", she said, "Prince Teddington has given me something much better than that".
Then Prince Aqueous, the Prince of Atlantis came up from his palace under the sea in his seahorse drawn coach of coral with gifts of bright pearls for Princess Sophie and kneeling before her, opened up an oyster shell shaped box full of them.
But, again, Princess Sophie turned her nose up at her suitors gift.
"No, I don't want pearls", she said, haughtilly, "For what Prince Teddington gives me is far more precious".
But then, from far of Arabia, Shiek Ali Baba came upon a flying carpet, leading behind him a caravan of a hundred camels, each camel carrying a hundred pounds of gold upon its back.
Yet, still, when Sophie looked at all the twinkly gold that the shiek had brought her she was not interested.
"No", she said, yawning as if all the gold just bored her, "I don't want gold. I wouldn't want all the gold in all the world because what I get from Prince Teddington is worth much more".
So the Shiek, broken hearted, and all his camels went back to Arabia.
"My goodness", said the King and Queen, Sophies Mum and Dad, "You've turned away diamonds and pearls and gold. What on Earth has Prince Teddington got that is better than all those?".
Princess Sophie put her arms around her Teddybear and squeezed him tight, "Prince Teddington has the warmest hugs in all the world".
And so then Princess Sophie and Prince Teddington were married and they both lived happily, huggily and snuggily ever after.
