1st Verse:
Once there was a princess
locked up in a tower
by a very wicked witch
with dark, magical power.
And she sobbed
and she sobbed
and she sobbed
and she sobbed,
“Won’t somebody save me.
‘Cause if they would, I’d marry them
whoever they may be”.
2nd Verse:
Then there came a hero;
a knight in shining armour.
He said, “I’ll save that princess
from those who’d try to harm her”.
And he rode
and he rode
and he rode
and he rode
for ten whole nights and days,
crying, “Fear not, my princess
for your hero’s on his way”.
3rd Verse:
Then he came to the tower
where the princess was held
but, with her evil power,
the witch cast a magic spell.
With a flash
and a crash
and a puff
of black smoke
she grew giant in size;
breathing fire from her jaws
and shooting lightning from her eyes.
4th Verse:
But the hero, he fought on
with fearsome bravery .
He said, “I shall not give up
till my princess is set free”.
And he fought
and he fought
and he fought
and he fought
till the evil witch fell down;
he drove his sword through her jet black heart
and she came crashing to the ground.
5th Verse:
Then he freed the princess
from that evil tower.
“Oh princess”, he said, “You’re just
as lovely as a flower”.
And they kissed
and they smiled
and they laughed
and they danced
deep in love as two can be;
then that princess and her handsome prince
lived, forever, happily.
