Once upon a time there was a Spaceman called Simon who lived in a little, silver dome shaped house on the purple planet of Peep with a robot cat called Kay.
And one day, Simon decided that he would have a space picnic so he went to his automatic maker machine and typed the word "Picnic" into it and then, out of a flap in the machine came a silver picnic blanket for sitting on and a picnic hamper filled with yummy food and drink for a picnic, even a tin of robot cat food for his cat.
Then, putting on his silver space jacket, his space boots, space helmet and gloves he said to his cat,
"Come on Kay, we're going on a picnic".
Then, going outside, Simon put the picnic blanket and picnic hamper into the back of his space buggy; the special car in which he travelled around the purple planet and he and Kat both got into the seats at the front and, when they had fastened their seatbelts, Simon pressed the big red button that started the space buggy's whirring engines and they drove off to find a nice place to have a space picnic.
And after they had been driving for a little while, Simon came to a place with pink trees and blue grass and tweeting birds of silver and gold that he thought looked nice so he parked his space buggy by a pink tree and he and Kay got out.
Then he rolled out his silver picnic blanket and he and Kay sat down on it.
"This is a nice spot for a picnic, isn't it, Kay?", he said to his cat.
"Miaow- bleep-bleep", his cat replied, which meant, in robot cat speak, "Yes it is".
Then Simon opened up his picnic hamper and took out a space sandwich and space milkshake for himself and a tin of robot catfood for Kay, pouring the catfood into a bowl.
Just as they were about to enjoy their space picnic however, Simon and Kay heard a strange noise.
Zip-zap-zoom, it went and then suddenly, standing infront of them was a purple alien with one green eye in the centre of its head.
"Hello", said Simon to the alien, "My names Simon. Simon the Friendly Spaceman and this is my cat, Kay. Who are you?".
But the purple alien didn't look like he wanted to be friendly, infact he looked very angry.
"Bleep-blap-bloop!", he said, "You can't eat here. This land belongs to me. You and your cat will have to leave".
"But its so nice here", said Simon, "Can't we just stay for a little while?".
"No you cannot", said the alien and then, reaching into a pocket it took out a little ray gun, "Either you get off my land or I will zap you with this".
Hearing this Simon was very sad but then, suddenly, Simon had a thought.
"What if I gave you a space sandwich", he said and reaching into his picnic hamper he took out a sandwich.
"Space sandwich?", said the alien, "What is that? Is it some weapon for zapping people with?".
"No", said Simon, laughing, "You eat it".
And, saying that, he handed the sandwich to the alien who, after sniffing the sandwich suspiciously, took a bite out of it.
The moment it did however, the alien smiled.
"This is delicious", it said, "The best food I have ever tasted".
"Good. I'm glad you liked it", said Simon, "Now can I and my cat have a picnic here?".
The alien scratched its purple head in thought.
"Hmm? That depends. Do you have any more of those space sandwiches?", it asked.
"Oh lots and lots", said Simon, smiling, "Infact. If you'd like to join me and my cat for our picnic, I've propbably got more in my hamper".
So then, the alien thinking this a very good idea, he sat down on the picnic blanket beside Kay and they all had a picnic together; Simon and the Alien eating Space sandwiches and drinking space milkshake and Kay eating robot catfood and they even threw around a space frisbee.
And after that, Simon and the purple alien became the best of friends.
