How gentle and how blissful does the sleepy Autumn seem,
like a child whose auburn hair spills on soft pillows of the earth;
leaves like heavy eyelids drift off as if into dreams;
Winter will tuck her in and she’ll awake with Spring's rebirth
and oh, what a beautiful awakening that will be;
bright sun, blue skies, birdsong and green on every tree
but, till then, dear Mother Nature, sleep peacefully.

What an amazing read JoHn,
I just love the Autumn with its colours.
I loved the way you described the child with auburn hair, her hair spills on soft pillows of the earth.
Really captivating and gave me such a smile.
Thankyou for sharing this one.
Jenny.
