Remember those who protested;
remember those who striked;
they fought for you and I as well,
to protect all our rights.
They did not fight with guns or bombs
or missiles, planes and tanks
yet they were soldiers of freedom
who deserve all our thanks.
They did not fight with foreign foes
upon fields far away
but to them, a great debt, we owe
for rights we have today.
And, just like them, Britain needs you
to stand up for freedom
fight for the rights of you and I
and all those yet to come.
