The Galloping Stallion
=======================
The galloping stallion bounces along;
its head’s held high and its legs are strong.
It wears a medallion made out of gold,
awarded for gallantry so I am told.
It led a battalion of cavalry
and it led them all into victory,
so that valiant stallion, for being bold,
was given a medal of glittering gold.
Flat Fish
==========
A flounder
looks rounder
when seen from side on
but when it
turns round
you will swear it has gone.
Elephants on the march
=======================
Elephants march along the street;
elephants big and tough and strong;
elephants stomping great, grey feet;
trumpeting with their trunks so long.
Elephants march along in pairs;
elephants with enormous tusks;
flapping their great, big floppy ears
as they go marching through the dusk.
The umbrella bird*
===================
The umbrella bird’s always prepared for gloomy weather.
He doesn’t care whether or not the other birds all laugh.
‘cause on his head, I’ve heard, he has a brolly made of feathers
and round his neck he wears a rather stylish feather scarf.
*a real bird who lives in the rainforests of South America
Panda where?
==============
I wonder where my panda’s wandered to?
I’ve pondered where my Panda Bear could be.
I know that pandas are fond of bamboo.
Perhaps he’s under yonder bamboo tree.
