A Bear Behind

There is a bear who follows me
everywhere I go.
He hides when I turn round
because he thinks I do not know
but wherever I wander,
near and far, I always find
that people point at me and shout,
“You’ve got a bear behind!”.

Famous Among The Birds

Few people have heard of the elderly gent
who would scatter breadcrumbs wherever he went.
They don’t write about him in books, not one word
but he’s awfully famous among all the birds.

An Odd Creature

It does not rub marimba legs together
or flap tattered umbrella wings of leather;
in fact it’s made of wood, oblong and flat.
What an odd creature is the cricket bat.
