I cannot guarantee eternal youth.
Poems are not pyramids or potions
for restoring lost hair. Their goal is truth.
They keep young only thoughts and emotions.
But I can tell you truthfully, they change
the way you view the veil of age and death;
helping reveal the beautiful and strange
new layer of you that lies underneath.
Just as you read a poem many times,
detecting new nuance and subtlety,
with each new morning as, life’s hill, you climb
you’ll find deeper meaning in things you see.
Poems are faces;doors to go behind.
You must walk forward with an open mind.

Hi well-wisher,
this poem meant alot to me, because I have certainly
learnt alot about myself, since I have been writing.
Thankyou for the read.
Jenny.
