Fact 1: Momentum increases as either mass or velocity increase.
Fact 2: An object approaching the speed of light increases in mass.
So, if a person swings a ball and chain round in a circle, like the hammer throw, at a speed approaching the speed of light, the ball will increase in mass but would this increase in mass make the ball move slower or faster? If fact 1 is correct then wouldn't an increase in mass result in an increase in the momentum of the ball and, if not, why not?
