Springtime is Swingtime

Buzzing bees all jive
to jazz in their hive;
little ladybugs
do the jitterbug.
Gold daffodils grow
like trumpets that blow;
roses root-toot-toot
in their red zoot suits.
Bunnies thump their feet;
banging out the beat
while hares lindy hop
to bunny be-bop.
Showers pitter-pat;
caterpillars scat;
golden sunbeams glide
like trombones that slide.
It’s a swinging thing.
It’s the sound of spring.
