Starbright and The 7 Droids (A Space Opera Based Upon Snow White) – Part 2

The strange, small green alien creature with big bug eyes on stalks, webbed feet and tentacle arms hopped across the Faerian desert towards the little Dome of the 7 droids.

None of the mining robots had ever seen an alien creature like it before but, after what Queen Galaxina had done to Starbright they were overly cautious.

A tiny periscope rising out of its head containing a high powered Maser cutter, Droid Number 6 fired a bright orange beam of energy towards the creature.

Leaping in the air to avoid its flipper like feet from being singed by the beam, the creature then used its long tentacles to gather up rocks and stones that were scattered around nearby and then it hurled a volley of them towards the robot.

Frightened, Number 6 turned and hobbled back into its dome, the door sliding shut and locking behind it.

The Alien creature seemed undeterred, hopping over to one of the domes octagonal windows and sliding into the dome through a crack then, realising that none of the Droids had noticed it enter, the strange creature started hopping towards the room where Starbright was sleeping in the cryogenic chamber.

Then, stretching out a long green tentacle, it pressed the unlocking button on the chamber which slid open with a whirr and then, with what looked like pair of human lips on the end of another long, green tentacle it reached up and kissed Starbright upon the mouth.

Light bathed the strange alien and then, suddenly, changing shape, the creature transformed into something humanoid.

Noticing that the door to the Cryo-room was open, Number 5 hobbled in waving its maser cutter around warily.

“Don’t be afraid, little Droid”, said a tall, young handsome man in a richly adorned space suit, “I am Prince Meteor; one of the original inhabitants of this moon. Long ago I was transformed by an evil mad scientist into an ugly alien creature. I needed human DNA to turn me back now I will return the favour to your mistress. I have the power to heal”.

The Prince placed his hands upon Starbright as she lay in the chamber and suddenly his hands started to glow brightly and the Nano-Poison that was creeping like a metallic frost over Starbrights skin started to disappear and her lips that had become a silvery blue colour started to return to their natural red.

Starbright opened her eyes.

“What happened?”, asked the Princess, startled.

“You were ill”, said the Prince, looking down at her and smiling, “Some kind of poison but you’re better now”.
