1.
The porcupine’s prickles
feel cold as icicles;
even Bears shiver and go brrr.
And cute little rabbits
give up Springtime habits
though covered all over in fur.
Chorus:
‘Cause they know that its November;
that a chill is in the air
and soon it will be December;
there’ll be white snow everywhere.
Yes they know that Winter’s coming
time to forage and to store
till flowers bloom and bees are humming
and it’s pretty Spring once more.
2.
In spite of warm feathers
the birds feel the weather
and they start to forage around.
Even children skipping
feel their noses nipping
as Jack Frost’s feet cover the ground.
Chorus:
And they know that its November;
that a chill is in the air
that soon it will be December;
there’ll be white snow everywhere.
Yes they know that Winter’s coming
time for hats and coats and gloves
till flowers bloom and bees are humming
and warm sun shines up above.
