The Tiger Within Us All (Speech/Thoughts)

A tiger is a fire in the heart of Nature; the wild, blazing spirit of Nature that longs just to live and be free.
If we let it die out then what about the blazing spirit inside our own hearts? How hard will we fight to stop that dying out?
And, surely, it is the same kind of forces which destroy the tiger; small minded people, greed and selfishness that are pressing upon our own hearts, trying to force us to conform and to smother our passion for life.
When we see the wild tiger roaming in its green forests, do we not see a kindred spirit? When we look into its flame coloured eyes, do we not see the fire in our own? When we hear it roar do we not think of our own longing to roar; to shout out, proudly, “I am alive!”.
And in protecting the tiger from extinction and protecting all those things that are wild and free are we not also saving that still untamed, unchained and unextinguished part of ourselves.

Well said. Modern life is so
Well said. Modern life is so soulless - most of us are half-dead already! I've just been reading about how white American settlers hunted the American bison almost to extinction. They weren't killed for food or their hides; their carcasses were left to rot. It was done so that the Native American would die out. People can become extinct too.
