Two Lovers

Each day, at dawn, two lovers meet;

the Sun gives Earth its gilded kiss;

Earth’s brought  alive with light and heat

just like a heart touched by love’s bliss.

Just as love first dawned on my heart

when your lips, on mine, brightly shone.

I pray that Sun and Earth won’t part

and that our vital love lives on.
