I met a cupid with a broken wing.
His arrows were all bent and snapped in two;
his magic bow had lost its golden string;
he’d even lost one of his golden shoes.
And yet the little cherub soldiered on;
making his bow a crutch to lean upon.
“If I cannot inspire love”, he said,
“Then I will help mend broken hearts instead”.
