Wherever a red leaf of Autumn falls,
gently leaving a kiss upon the earth,
there a pretty red rose of April blooms
and wherever white snowflakes cover all,
when Wintertime yields to the Spring’s rebirth,
lilies and snowdrops cover Winter’s tomb
and, into black and silver Winter skies
there comes a blue and golden Spring sunrise
and where the whistling Winter wind doth blow,
the breath of Spring, that is bright life, must flow.

It's not officially winter
It's not officially winter here yet WW- but we had hard frost and snow last night and as I am writing this ice covers most of the ground and paths. The sun is shining on the autumn leaves in all their colours. It is quite beautiful. But Spring I am looking forward to- to see the earth born again.
Beautiful poem.
