1st Verse:
I have such a happy feeling deep within
when I hear the dawn chorus’s joyous din
and, sometimes, I even feel like joining in;
putting my lips together and just whistling.
2nd Verse:
When I wake up and the morning has begun,
they are like the soundtrack to the rising sun,
natures buskers bringing joy to everyone.
I hope they don’t mind if I join in their fun.
Chorus:
Whistle with the birds,
Whistle with the birds
as they chirp their Springtime melody.
Come on and whistle with the birds.
Whistle with the birds,
Whistle with the birds.
For feeling down it's the perfect remedy.
Come on and whistle with the birds.
3rd Verse:
I clap my hands like flapping wings against the sky
and whistle like the little birds or at least I try
and suddenly, I start to feel my spirits fly.
Whistling’s not just for the birds but for you and I.
4th Verse:
Sometimes, instead of feeling sad and worrying.
I wish I was a bird with brightly feathered wings.
People would feed me breadcrumbs for the joy I’d bring
as I’d sit upon a branch all day just whistling.
Chorus:
Whistle with the birds,
Whistle with the birds
as they chirp their Springtime melody.
Come on and whistle with the birds.
Whistle with the birds,
Whistle with the birds.
For feeling down it's the perfect remedy.
Come on and whistle with the birds.
