Why it is impossible for God to prove itself to an atheist

How could God prove its existence to an atheist?
Could it make a miracle happen?
No because if God makes a miracle happen, Atheists will presume it has a scientific explanation even if they can't provide one. Thus no evidence of god would ever satisfy them.
Is that true?
It is the atheist position that just because you can't explain something through science yet, it doesn't mean that God exists. Therefore even if an atheist can't explain something through science they presume that it must have a scientific explanation and this gives atheists a license to dismiss any evidence that God could possibly make.
For example:
Say that god put a giant floating teapot in the sky.
An atheists immediate reaction would be, "It must have a scientific explanation".
And even if a scientific explanation were never found for the giant floating teapot an atheist would say, "Just because we haven't explained the giant floating teapot yet it doesn't prove God exists".
Please Note: I am not a Christian, Jew or Muslim. I'm a person who thinks that if you say the 'unexplained' must always have a rational scientific explanation, that you can never attribute anything to the "God of the gaps" then it would be impossible for God to prove its existence to human beings.

I suppose it depends on the
I suppose it depends on the definition of god you cook up, that is on the characteristics that god would have...
For example, if god has the characteristic of omnipotence , it would not be "impossible for God to prove itself to an atheist"...
