The Wind

The Wind is a wild symphony
conducted by the trees;
sometimes a rumbling timpani;
sometimes a woodwind breeze;
often it rattles tins around;
creaks hinges and bangs doors
then, afterwards, the rain pours down
like a big round of applause.
