Melody talked for hours about her life in Pandora’s gate, told her about the family she had in wiziltown. Eliza thought how different their lives are and how melody was so lucky to have a family that loved her.
It wasn’t until Benji started winging at the front door pacing back and forth that they bother realized that the sun was starting to come down.
“oh my god'“ Melody screamed, “it will be dark soon” and she jumped up from the chair and started to lock all the windows and pull all the curtains shut with fear. Melody seemed to go into a world of her own she looked extremely panicked and scared. However, out of the corner of Eliza's eye, she could see Benji desperately trying to tell her that he needed the toilet. Benji was pacing up and down frantically it almost looked like he was crossing his two back legs. This made Eliza's giggle and before melody could warn Eliza, Eliza opened the front door, and Benji had run out into the green.
“noooooooo” screamed melody; Eliza up at melody, whos face was a look of shock.
Eliza stood there unaware of what she had done wrong, surely melody didn’t want Benji peeing in her home or even worst a number two Eliza wondered puzzled. “We can't go out there after dark there get us” melody shouted in panic whilst running towards the door to close it behind Benji.
What on earth was melody going on about thought Eliza?
“the gribbles” melody voice had dropped and whatever the gribbles where they frightened the life out of melody Eliza could see this in the way melody was pale and trembling with fear. Eliza had never heard of the gribbles not in any book she had read before, and wondered what on earth they were.
“The fairies soldiers, they patrol the area at night to keep us all in, we are only aloud out in the day, the fairies and gribbles take over at night, and if they catch us out," then melody voice broke. Eliza realized that Benji was all outside on his own. She peered through the gap in the curtains to see Benji crouched on his back legs doing what all dogs needed to do after a big meal. H looked so relieved and so unaware of the trouble that was coming his way.
Eliza rushed back to the front door to open it to get Benji but melody had lodged herself in the way.
“you can't go out there," she screamed.
“I'm not leaving him” Eliza whilst pushing melody out of the way and headed out of the door.
The sun was almost gone now, and the sky had a red mist in it; Elize could feel the fear in the air, which only hours ago was beautiful place, and it dark and dangerous. Eliza looked upon Benji, who was kicking the grass into the air without care in the world, and tried to silently signal for him to come back into the house. However, Benji was having too much was leaping and bounding and enjoying himself too much to even look up at Eliza. Eliza walked slowly down the path scanning her eyes around to make sure they were the only ones out there, And then to her freight, she felt the ground beneath her start to shake. Thud thud thud the ground shook between her, and then she could see just in the distant small wrinkly silhouettes appearing out of the forest. The closer they got; Eliza realized they looked similar to the goblins in her fairy tale's book, but the difference was these were real. Eliza could hear them chanting she couldn't make out the words they were using but new this ment trouble.
“Benji came on" Eliza thought. Benji looked up towards the dark footpath leading out of the forest, and he too saw the miniature goblins with their swords marching toward him. Benji placed himself backwards towards Eliza never taking his eyes off the fierce looking monsters coming their way.
“don’t ever do that gain” melody screeched whilst slamming the door and pulling enormous bolts and chains across the door.
Eliza and melody sat back on their chairs while Benji sat near the door waiting for them to knock.
Eliza sat down waiting for answers, M hadn’t told her the gribbles, and Eliza was starting to feel scared looking at melody who was trembling with fear. Melody sighed and slumped back into the chair and could tell by the look on Eliza's face she wanted to know what was going on.
“prudence and the fairies are scared of the sun, Melody’s words where reluctant, Eliza could tell she didn't want to speak about it. " The tale states that the sun will burn them into a thousand pieces“, Melody continued. Eliza could see in melody face that she found it hard to talk about her mother being captured as she was missing her terribly. ”fairy’s are scared of the sun light, so they allow us to use town in the day to grown food and whatever else we need, then at night they take over”
“what do you mean they take over” thought Eliza, who was looking at Benji, who was quietly growling by the door.
