Rainbow in a Shell

Walking on a tropical beach
A young girl saw colours
Sparkling in the soft white sand;
Intrigued, she knelt down
And saw a small, round shell
Glitter in the sunlight.

Giddy with excitement
She prised it from the sand
And, clutching it in her palms
She ran to her father and said:
“Look Daddy! I’ve found
A rainbow in a shell!”
