A Shadow On The Wall

In the faint light of a quarter moon with the clouds flocked around
Hiding the stars from the eyes in a mackerel sky
On the sandy trail, creepers and groves spread the roots on the ground
Ploughing the soil with your toes for digging spikes
When the breezes die, it’s an eerie quiet for some time in the lonely yard
You know what you don’t in the mile of a haunted site
While on the move, watch out for spook by the nooks in the pitch dark
Make out the shapes in shades of black and white
In the still of the night
It’s the shock of your life
Up ahead by the bend
You see a shadow on the wall
A shadow on the wall
See a shadow on the wall…of a girl
So be warned, (if you pissed off) you hear the sound right behind your footsteps
Don’t lead the hound to your door in the twilight
If she’s there, cry out loud…cry out…in your dirty clothes
Take off them all and run stark to reach the tide
In the still of the night
It’s the shock of your life
Up ahead by the bend
You see a shadow on the wall
A shadow on the wall
See a shadow on the wall…of a girl
Up ahead by the bend
You see a shadow on the wall
A shadow on the wall
See a shadow on the wall…of a girl
