Re-united

After so long, I could feel the heat of his body against mine. It was funny how my head always fit right under his chin, and we could stay in each other's grasp for hours if we wanted, without feeling the slightest discomfort. The ground under my feet felt softer than ever, and it felt as if the air was twirling around us. With my arms wrapped around him,I inhaled the fresh scent of his favourite perfume, Armani Code Casino. His heart beating against my ears reminded me of all those times we had laid under the shade of our pomegranate tree during the summers; just taking in the beauty around us, and being glad to have each other. But that was five years and several misunderstandings ago. Right now, we were two lovers, re-united, throwing away the efforts of all those who had tried to keep us apart. We were together again- and this time, forever! I took a deep breath. I had already spoiled his shirt with all my tears. But I knew he didn't mind. He had never minded it. Instead, he just raised his left hand and gently caressed it through the thick curls of my hair.
