There was much to be said about recent events.
The Earth shook violently; cities fell, and dead was dead,
Some suspected a bomb, released into the earth, to deliver slow, painful death to enemies.
Conspiracy theorists claimed a government experiment gone wrong.
Wizened men listened to the wind and knew it was time.
Chaos reigned.
Above the earth, Gaia comforted her children; soon the infections would be gone; wounds would heal.
And should the primordial ooze of creation, resurface; She lazily raised her hand, and another city vanished; in the fires, wind, and rain; ashes to ashes; dust to dust.
