This is Fine
Totally fine. This is totally fine. Shadow retreated back into the depths of the subway. This is fine. This is fine. This. Is. Fine… what am i gonna do! I’m...I’m on my own. Shadow stopped moving. He stood in the darkness, his knuckles turning white from clenching the usb in his fist. I’m just one guy. What can I even do here? Okay, calm down Shadow. Just need to think. Just need to take a second to think. Think….Okay, let’s work backwards.
What’s the goal here?
To release the articles? Prove my innocence? That’s important, sure, but before all that, my goal is to save Yun. She’s saved me over and over again, and I left her in The Village. I need to save Yun and the rest of the rebellion too. They’re the priority.
Okay, now how do I do that? No, not even that. Where are they being held?
There’s no way that they’re in that hidden prison in the middle area. They publicly broadcast that they captured the rebellion, so they would want to put them in a public prison. They made a big deal out of this situation. They have to be in the most secure prison in the city. Albeda. They must be being held in Albeda. And that’s...in the inner area.
Okay, now how do I get there?
Shadow tapped the external modifier and the subway map appeared. He scrolled through the map, routing out a path. There was only one subway exit in the inner area.
Makes sense, I guess. The people of the inner area wouldn’t sully themselves by taking the subway. But if there’s only one subway exit, there’ll probably be Sergeants all over it. They must know about the subway tunnels if they captured the rebellion. But what other choice do I have? I could try to sneak through one of the entrances, but there’s no way I’d manage to get through. In the subway, at least I have the advantage of this map, and just the experience of traversing it for a bit. This is my only option.
Okay, let’s assume I manage to get into the inner area. How do I break into a supermax prison, free everyone, and escape? Hm… Yeah, I’ve got nothing for that one. Well, guess I’ll just have to wing it once I get out of the subway. Alright. I’ve got my path planned out, got a plan...kind of. I’m as ready as I’ll ever be.
This is fine. Hold on Yun. I’m coming.
