Another day: my local MP wrote to me stating that London is going to two tier system this weekend. No household mixing. Mother is having an operation on her hand next week. Therefore I am speechless.
Later I will compose myself and write back to her asking how long? Why? Is there any evidence that this will save lives? In reality I will do none of the above for I have to plan a few lessons. I still can’t work out if taciturn is the exact opposite of talkative. If so what century, in what context? Which books? Has Shakespeare ever mentioned “taciturn’ in any of his writs?
Instead I would compose an email to the executive head at my children’s school to find out if indeed there are any programmes to encourage gifted children in programming for that is my son’s latest hobby of late.
Latent geniuses of my offspring! Oh but why can’t I get my head around him? Why indeed!
I am tired! No make that exhausted. And still have five oak tree saplings to re-home- courtesy of extinction rebellion. I will close my eyes and imagine myself floating on a boat at Bahamas or Barbados. So confused. A little bit grieved for my ex boss still.
At least my daughter is curious about Shakespeare. And Shakespeare’s prose! How does one introduce a seven year old to Shakespeare? Which is the most appropriate play? Taming of Shrew perhaps? Measure for Measure! Merchant Of Venice? Not Macbeth or Hamlet. Definitely not Romeo or Juliet! Though she already seems to know about the houses of Capulet and Montegues! Distraction! Any distraction will do for my little lamb at the moment so that she throws herself in any task given by her teacher. Making a card to show a “red card” to racism or reciting some lines in Latin for her roman banquet show tomorrow.
Then husband announces that he has just bought a car. Our first one, Nissan something I believe.

Mental notes
Mental notes, sounds like biography are the events are the facts real? I experience my thought processes much the same.
Good! Tom

Yasemin, I was given 'Lamb's
Yasemin, I was given 'Lamb's Tales from Shakespeare' as a child, but that was a very long time ago (!) and there might be something more appropriate now? Here it is anyway:

So glad you keep posting :0)
So glad you keep posting :0) Know what you mean about sons and computing!!!
Agree with Insert to try to find a children's version first? Midsummer Night's Dream was the first play I saw, it has lots of amazing images if your daughter likes to draw.
Have started trying to read the plays myself and finding the bits with beautiful language are much easier to understand than the bits where characters talk to each other. Often I have to read a sentence ten times and all they are doing is bantering. Maybe you could tell your daughter the story and add in some of the gorgeous bits to discuss along the way?
